DeJohn Funeral Homes is hosting its annual Tree of Remembrance Ceremony on Sunday, December 3rd at 1:30 p.m. on the campus of DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Homes and Crematory at 28890 Chardon Road in Willoughby Hills. Family and friends are invited to the tree lighting ceremony in remembrance of those who have died during the past year.

“The holiday season, while joyous for most people, may be very difficult for those who have lost a loved one. We understand those feelings you may be going through and encourage you to join us. Hosting community events allow us to be a force for building supportive community, to redefine what it means to celebrate life, and to embrace each other in times of challenge,” said Ross DeJohn III, President & COO of DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Homes.

There will be a brief prayer service inside the funeral home and each name of the deceased will be called. At that time, the family may go outside to hang their ornament on the tree. The tree, which is located in the front of the building, will remain lit throughout the holiday season in memory of all our loved ones.

Families are recommended to bring a weather-resistant ornament to hang on the tree in memory of the person who died. These ornaments can represent anything significant to the person or your family.

RSVP for the Tree of Remembrance ceremony online at DeJohn Funeral Homes & Crematory or call 440-516-5555 by November 30th.

Please note ornaments will be removed from the tree on Saturday, January 6, 2018. Everyone is welcome to pick up his or her ornament after this date. We cannot be responsible for any ornaments remaining after 30 days.
