The KidShow is pleased to welcome back Gary Pearlman to the Great Lakes Mall in Mentor during the KidShow on Saturday, March 25th from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Pearlman, known as Dr. U.R. Awesome, is a Cleveland native who has accomplished receiving two Guinness World Records for his mastery of the bubble.

In June of 2015 at Wade Oval Park in Cleveland, Dr. U.R. Awesome created the world’s largest outdoor free floating soap bubble with a volume of 96.27 m (3,399.7 ft3) which is four times the world record of 23 m. Pearlman took two fishing poles with string tied between as the apparatus with which to make the bubble. An Independent scientist calculated the volume through photography from orthogonal angles.

Immediately following, he went inside the Cleveland Botanical Gardens and claimed his second Guinness World Record by creating the world’s largest indoor free floating soap bubble with a volume of 8.5 m (300.1 ft3). To create the bubble, Gary used two modified fishing poles with string tied between the ends, which were then dipped in a soap solution with a number of secret ingredients.

Mastering the art of the bubble has brought Dr. U.R. Awesome opportunities to perform his award-winning skills all over the world. As a skilled professional bubbleologist, Dr. U.R. Awesome will have some fun with the kids and adults at the KidShow. One of his favorite skills is to magically put people into their own bubble. The joy and amazement of being in a bubble brings smiles to faces. KidShow attendees will be able to experience this and snap a photo! Stop in front of the Shoe Department for a dose of fun as that is what Dr. U.R. Awesome prescribes, nothing but fun.
