Blackbrook Audubon Offers Trio of Topics
October 16 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Blackbrook Audubon Society invites everyone to hear three mini presentations. Attendees will learn from a short video how buying their coffee from a shaded farm will support winter habitat for their favorite summer songbirds. Courtney Brennan, the Collections Manager for the Ornithology Department at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History, will enlighten the audience on caring for the museum’s bird, nest and egg specimen collection. Ann Bugeda, former Chief of Interpretive Services for Lake Metroparks, will give an update on her contribution to Project Owlnet. She and a group of volunteers catch Northern Saw-whet Owls in mist nets after they migrate across Lake Erie to help determine their population status and biology.
Big Creek Park is located at 9160 Robinson Road in Chardon. Blackbrook Audubon covers Geauga, Lake and Ashtabula counties as the local chapter of National Audubon Society. For more information, visit Blackbrook Audubon Society. Follow Blackbrook Audubon Society on Facebook.
