Annual Health Fair at the Lake County Central Y

Free and open to the public, individuals and families can get blood sugar screenings, blood pressure screenings, meet with health consultants, gather nutritional information, and enjoy chair massages.

“Being healthy means more than simply being physically active. It’s about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind and body,” said Beth Horvath, Health & Wellness Director at the Lake County YMCA Central Branch.

“We encourage everyone in the community to come to our Health Fair if they don’t have access to regular medical care. Diabetes and other health issues challenge many people in our community without knowing where they can go for help. We will have resources that can guide them to make healthier choices and receive the care they need,” added Horvath.

Several local health and wellness providers will be available to speak with attendees including Morris Chiropractic, Vitamin Shoppe, Matt Mavar/Life Insurance, Achilles Running Shop, Visalus, Correct Breathing Concepts, Lake Metroparks, and a Giant Eagle Dietician.

For 150 years, the Lake County YMCA has been invested in the community not only as a place for people to improve their health and well-being but also a place which welcomes everyone, regardless of age, income or background, to be more confident and connected.

The Health Fair will begin at 9 a.m. on Feb. 6 at the Lake County Central Y, 933 Mentor Ave in Painesville. For more information about screenings offered during the Health Fair call the Lake County Y at 440-352-3303.
