PAINESVILLE, OHIO – Basket raffles are always such a big draw and a fun part of events with so many items to choose from and the anticipation of your ticket being pulled as the winner! With the three-week online basket raffle Forbes House is currently running through October 10th, the event committee is finding the popularity of a basket raffle is just as high online as it is in person.
“The first week was a success, states Kathy Strancar, Executive Director. There were a variety of eighteen items in week one and each week the number of items available to win increases.” The three-week raffle runs Tuesday through Sunday at 11:59pm, with each week featuring different items. Weekly winners are notified by email on Monday. Start dates for the final two weeks of the raffle are September 28 and October 5.
The event fundraising committee has collected a number of prizes up for grabs, including a $600 entire home deep clean from The Cleaning Authority of Mentor, Cavaliers 5-Game MVP Mini Plan donated by Sports Plus Specialties, Cleveland Indians signed Franmil Reyes ball donated by the Cleveland Indians, basket of fragrances donated by Dillard’s, a Good Eats gift card board filled with local restaurant gift cards valued at over $600, a liquor ladder filled with hand-picked items donated by Christine Matthews and a holiday lighting package donated by Wade Roofing and Holiday Lighting are just a few of the available items. Each donated prize is featured on the weekly raffle page and includes a prize description, noting the business or individual that donated it.
Participants have the chance to win prizes or experiences by purchasing ticket entries through the Forbes House website (www.ForbesHouse.org) when clicking the Reverse Raffle tab. The more tickets purchased, the better chance you will have to win the prize of your choice. This is a fun way for the community to get involved and to make an impact on ending the cycle of domestic violence.
The weekly basket raffles are part of the annual Virtual Reverse Raffle benefiting Forbes House, known as Cash Dash & Dinner Bash. “The Cash Dash & Dinner Bash Reverse Raffle is our main fundraiser and we are excited to stay virtual as it allows people from all over to participate in many different ways,” Strancar states.
