On November 9th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 p.m., local author Barry Henkin will be signing copies of his book, “Why Am I So Special,” at Cleveland Heights iconic Big Fun Toystore, 1814 Coventry Road.
Barry Henkin has been faced with developmental challenges since birth. He published his autobiography in 2014, in the hope of motivating others to live their lives to their fullest potential. He is currently working on a second book that he hopes to publish in 2017.
Henkin celebrated 35 years of employment at Menorah Park in Beachwood, Ohio in October of 2016, and has been been a popular motivational speaker since 2011. His book and speeches encourage individuals of all ages and abilities to achieve personal fulfillment despite life’s physical, mental, emotional, and societal obstacles. Henkin was inducted into the Cleveland Heights High School Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame in 2013, and has received numerous community and workplace awards for his achievements.
Big Store Toystore owner, Steve Presser, has been a friend of Henkin’s for years; all proceeds from book sales will help support Henkin when he is ready to retire.
