Blackbrook Audubon Shares Adventure Travel Stories on May 21

Blackbrook Audubon welcomes Bruce and Susan Bennett to its monthly program meeting 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21st at The West Woods Nature Center. The Bennetts will describe their trip to Guyana, a relatively unspoiled country on the north coast of South America. Accompanied by Bruce’s brother, nephew and friend, they traveled 110 miles up the Rewa River, 40 miles of which they paddled in dugout canoes, under the guidance of Makushi Amerindians. Hear about the amazing wildlife they encountered like Lowland Tapir, various kingfishers and Harpy Eagles, but also the hazards such as army ants and Jaguars in their camp at night. Bruce and Susan are photographers in the Geauga Shutterbugs Photo Club.

The West Woods is at 9465 Kinsman Road, Russell Township. The program is open to all. For more information, visit Blackbrook Audubon Society. Follow Blackbrook Audubon Society on Facebook. Blackbrook Audubon is the local chapter of National Audubon Society covering Ashtabula, Geauga and Lake counties.
