Deepwood Foundation, the nonprofit charitable arm for the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities (LCBDD), will host its annual gala fundraiser on Friday, Nov. 6, at LaMalfa in Mentor. The event is one you will not want to miss.

This year brings a new look and theme. “An Enchanted Evening with Deepwood” will be enjoyed by guests in cocktail attire surrounded by the shimmer and sparkle of the night. Presented by Chemtron Corp. and Concord Benefits Planning Agency, the evening’s festivities begin at 6 p.m. and include dinner, drinks, raffle drawings, games, and silent and live auctions.

The evening will bestow the honor of Person of the Year and Organization of the Year. Both award recipients are well-deserving for their ongoing dedication to people with developmental disabilities. Patricia Budzilek is this year’s Person of the Year and Concord Benefits Planning Agency will be granted the award of Organization of the Year.

“This event provides a wonderful platform for us to thank those who support us as well as honor those who give so much of themselves to our organization,” states Executive Director, Rikke Coach. “It is critical to raising the funds needed to ensure that Lake County individuals with developmental disabilities lead rich and rewarding lives in a community where they are fully accepted.” Event proceeds directly benefit individuals with developmental disabilities in the areas of therapeutic camp scholarships, after school programs, adaptive equipment and classroom needs.

Tickets for “An Enchanted Evening with Deepwood” are $75 per person with a portion of each ticket being tax deductible.
