It’s All About Kids and Family at the 18th Annual KidShow

Known as the area’s largest free kids and family event, the 18th Annual KidShow returns to Great Lakes Mall in Mentor on Saturday, April 9 from 10am to 6pm and Sunday, April 10 from 12pm to 5pm. The KidShow features hundreds of kids and family products and services as well as continuous entertainment, activities, crafts, cookie decorating, prizes, play area, snack attacks, local authors, roaming costume characters and all kinds of surprises!

Designed to get good information into busy parents’ hands, attendees will have the opportunity to gather information and have their questions answered directly by company representatives. “Having so many resources available all in one place makes family decision-making and planning much easier,” states Pat Perry of ProMark Enterprises, KidShow owner and producer. “We have planned for 85 exhibitors to be on-site complimenting the areas and activities ProMark provides. There will be schools and sports, music and activities, camps and vacations and everything in between. Along with sharing information, many of the exhibitors will also be sharing interactive activities with attending families.”

Not only will you gather useful information but the KidShow features some of the coolest activities for your kids to enjoy! The Kids Counter this year features free crafts and activities with Lakeshore Learning, Barnes and Noble, Mentor Public Library, Mentor Ridge Middle School Art Club, Eat’n Park and the Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library.

Older kids will enjoy the on-site OMG! truck located on top of the Fuji Concourse. This climate-controlled mobile video gaming theater has computer controlled sound, lighting and special effects guaranteed to provide an over-the-top gaming experience. All ages will enjoy engaging with exhibitors, playing trivia and music bingo for prizes, checking out the stage entertainment and even grabbing a snack during our Snack Attacks!

Come early on Saturday and be one of the first 500 families to register at the Registration Center at the top of the food court and get one of only 500 free KidShow goody bags. One lucky bag will hold a red envelope with a certificate for a free youth bedroom set to include dresser, mirror, twin bed, chest and nightstand provided by Best Furniture.

Also on Saturday, 14 year old saxaphone player Eric Sconyers, known as The Sax Slayer, will be performing on the Northeast Ohio Parent Entertainment Stage in front of Macy’s from 1:30PM – 2:00PM. Eric started playing the Saxophone in the fourth grade and his father Daryl also plays.

Returning this year is the Teddy Bear Clinic hosted by medical specialists from Cleveland Clinic Children’s. From 12-3pm each day, bears will be provided, one per child, and kids will learn firsthand with their bear what it is like to go to the doctor or hospital.

From music and magic to twirling and dancing, the KidShow features entertainment that’s great for the whole family! Ronald McDonald will perform his magic show, Rockin Robots will magically amaze you and Dr. U.R. Awesome can magically put you into a bubble. Dr. U.R. Awesome will be at the KidShow from 1pm-3pm on Saturday. He has mastered the art of the bubble and is the current Guinness World Record Holder in 2 categories (largest indoor/outdoor soap bubbles). These are just a few of the many wonderful performances over the two-day event. It’s a guarantee that no matter when you choose to join us at the KidShow, you’ll be in for a great show!

Promising to bring fun to everyone’s day, the KidShow is a must see, must do family event! No admission fee, no parking fee, right here in Northeast Ohio and all for free!
