“Nunsense” brings Comedy and Music to The Fine Arts Association

The Fine Arts Association is pleased to announce “Nunsense” will open its 2015-16 theater season beginning Oct. 9 with multiple productions through Oct. 25 in the Corning Auditorium.

In this musical comedy, five nuns, from The Little Sisters of Hoboken, stage a variety show fundraiser to raise money to bury the rest of the sisterhood who were accidently poisoned. The entertainment that they present includes solo star turns, madcap dance routines, and an audience quiz. This hilarious production won four Outer Critic Circle Awards including Best Off Broadway Musical in its original New York production.

“Sandy Kosovich Peck directs a wonderful cast that includes Ingrid Balstad, Christian Borkey, Anna Davis, Evie Koh and Maria Lister Lyons. Whether you are looking for a great date night idea or something different for girls’ night out, we guarantee an evening of laughter,” said Wanda Wareham, Director of Communications and Marketing at The Fine Arts Association.

Individual tickets are $25 per person; seniors and students (*PG-13) are $23 per person. Group tickets (for ten or more) as well as Modern Classics, Family Series and Complete Season ticket packages are available. Note: Subscription deadlines close October 25.

Production dates include Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 & 24 at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays, Oct. 11, 18, & 25 at 2:00p.m. A Senior Matinee performance is also available on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 1:00 p.m. Supporting sponsor for “Nunsense” is Cardinal Community Credit Union.

Upcoming November productions include “Chili Con Comedy Improv Troupe” and “Alice in Wonderland,” presented in conjunction with Magical Theatre Company.
