The Fine Arts Association Presents “The Little Mermaid”

The Fine Arts Association invites the community to the musical production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid JR” at the Corning Auditorium beginning on Friday, Feb. 12, at 7:30 p.m.

“The Little Mermaid” is a classic tale full of wonder and music the whole family will enjoy,” commented Wanda Wareham, Director of Communications and Marketing for The Fine Arts Association.

Directed by David Malinowski, this musical adaptation of Disney’s 1989 film is about a curious mermaid who falls for a handsome human and agrees to a dangerous bargain with a powerful sea witch. The play is performed by the Yarnell Youth Theatre Company which includes more than forty young actors between the ages of eight and eighteen.

Performances will be held on Friday, Feb, 12, 19, and 26, at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday Feb. 13-14, 20-21, and 27-28 at 2:00 p.m.

Additional upcoming productions include the original “Chili Con Comedy Improv Troupe” performance on Feb. 6 as well as the 20th Annual One Act Festival on April 8-9, 15-16, and 22-23.

The 2015-2016 Theatre Season is funded in part by a grant from The Lake County Visitor’s Bureau Arts and Culture Fund to further participation in, and awareness of, arts and culture in Lake County and the Ohio Arts Council.
