Since 1993, Little Scholars Early Learning Centers has been dedicated to providing a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where children can flourish. From infants as young as 6 weeks to children up to 13 years old, Little Scholars offers high-quality early childhood education and before-and-after school care, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn and grow.
Founded by Michelle Lewis, a mother who sought to create an educational space that met the highest standards, Little Scholars has continued to evolve. Under the leadership of her son, Ian Lewis, since 2013, the center has expanded to eight locations across Lake County—a testament to their commitment to fostering young minds.
What to Expect at the KidShow Booth
At this year’s KidShow, families will get a firsthand look at how Little Scholars makes learning fun and engaging. Their booth will feature interactive circle time sessions, demonstrating how much can be taught in just 15 minutes a day through structured, play-based learning. Even better—actual teachers from Little Scholars will be leading these activities, giving families a chance to meet their potential educators!
Additionally, Little Scholars will be hosting a podcast during the event, shining a spotlight on their community partnerships and the resources available to families throughout Lake County.

Little Scholars follows the Creative Curriculum, which emphasizes learning through play. Through engaging materials, hands-on activities, and meaningful interactions, children not only gain essential academic skills but also develop lifelong friendships, empathy, kindness, and respect for others and the environment.
More Than Just Childcare
Little Scholars goes beyond traditional daycare by partnering with local organizations such as United Way, Crossroads, Leadership Lake County, Lifeline, and JFS, ensuring families have access to additional resources. Plus, they accept JFS vouchers, making high-quality childcare accessible to more families.
