Wild About Nature – Lake Metroparks Fall Art Show

Experience the art of wildlife in a variety of shapes, sizes and species in Wild About Nature, Lake Metroparks’ 2021 fall art show at Penitentiary Glen Reservation. This multimedia show features works by talented local artists. From paintings to jewelry to digital art, watercolor and more—there is something for everyone. The show will be on display 9 am to 5 pm August 28 through October 10 in the Nature Center at Penitentiary Glen Reservation in Kirtland. Admission is free. Select artwork is available for purchase.


A free opening reception will take place on Saturday, August 28 from noon to 4 pm. Meet and talk with the artists, watch demonstrations and enjoy a visit from special animal guests from the Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center.

Other activities to enjoy at Penitentiary Glen Reservation: hike more than eight miles of scenic trails, interact with nature in Nature Play, a children’s outdoor wild play space, discover the beautiful butterfly gardens or enjoy a leisurely picnic. Discover the Life Cycles Secrets of wildlife found in Fields, Wetlands and Forests in the new interactive exhibit found in the Nature Center. Browse the nature-themed gifts at The Nature Store including bird feeders, t-shirts, field guides, nature-related toys, children’s books and more. Snacks are also available for purchase. The Nature Center and Wildlife Yard are open 9 am to 5 pm every day.
